The works of Mariko Hori can be viewed as a sort of "delicate archeology" of the present day. Assuming that the traces of bygone eras are "archived" in the air molecules, the artist attempts, at least for a little while, to bring the past of the Chifte Haman back to life. The water droplets, having collected particles from the history of the bathhouse out of the air, fall with a soft noise, making us conscious of our own transience.
